Les Puechs is a small, typical Cevenol hamlet.

The stone built houses with terracotta roofs huddle together on the hillside, found 400m above sea level, at the end of a hilly road twisting up into breath taking scenery.

Terraced hills, green oak and chestnut trees, it is a fantastic location for relaxing, walking or painting.

Approximately 10kms away is Anduze, a beautiful French town situated on the banks of The Gardon River.

The town has a large supermarket, many interesting shops including a health food shop tucked away in cobbled streets, cafes and a typical street market every Thursday.

Nearby are many attractions for visitors:
A full sized steam train that runs from Anduze to St. Jean du Gard,
The Bambouseraie; the first gigantic bamboo forest in Europe.
Eco-museum about water in The Cevennes
The Museum of The Desert; about the Huguenot past (1685 – 1787)

A tree-climbing adventure park, with circuits (2 to 30 m high) for adults and special circuits for children (5+)

At the bottom of the road to Les Puechs is The Grotte de Trabuc; a fabulous cave to visit and among the most famous in Europe.

The town of Ales is a short drive, and further away is the historic Pont du Gard, canoeing in The Ardeche, Nimes, Montpellier and the Mediterranean coast.
